Two eras of history to relive
Brass: Birmingham takes you through two key periods of the Industrial Revolution.
Canal era (1770-1830) : A period when water transport was the main means of transportation
Railway era (1830-1870) : A period when the development of the railway network changed the industrial structure
Each era requires different strategies, keeping the gameplay fresh.
Game Flow
Players become entrepreneurs and build their own industrial empires in Birmingham during the Industrial Revolution. In each round, players take turns performing two actions to develop their industries. The player with the most victory points at the end is the winner.
A variety of actions
There are six types of actions you can perform during the game:
Build : Pay the required resources and place industry tiles on the board
Network : Expand your network by adding railroad and canal links
Development : Increases the victory point value of industries
Sales : Selling goods such as cotton, manufactured goods, and pottery to the market
Loan : Receive a loan of -30, but in return your income will decrease
Scout : Discard 3 cards and gain a Wild Location and Wild Industry card
