Players must work together to control the heroes while avoiding the security guards and aim to get everyone out of the mall within the time limit.
The biggest feature of this game is that communication between players is strictly limited. Communication through words and gestures is prohibited, so the key to success is how well players work together to complete the mission.

Magic Maze is a real-time cooperative game that breaks away from traditional turn-based board games. All heroes must steal their items and escape safely through the exit before the time limit, measured by an hourglass, expires.
Non-verbal communication and cooperation are crucial as conversation between players is limited, with the only permitted action being to prompt other players with the "Do Something!" pawn.
This unique rule creates tension and excitement among players.

Seven action tiles are used in single player mode, and nine action tiles are used in 1-8 player mode. The key to victory is for everyone to understand their role and act at the right time.
While waiting for other players to act, players may use the "Do Something!" pawn to encourage action, but any other communication is prohibited.

Time management is crucial, as the game ends when the hourglass runs out. You can extend the time limit by moving your hero pawn onto a tile with an hourglass icon, but once a tile has been used, an out-of-order token will be placed on it and it cannot be reused.
