But now, with their planet in danger, the super-computer Emperor Darius is trying to save them...and take Earth.
Defending Earth from this invasion is the aircraft carrier superweapon "Daiku Maryu" and its colorful crew, including a US Navy pilot, a sumo wrestler, a kickboxing champion, and various psychics. The team's newest member is Tsuwabuki Sanshiro, a former baseball player who injured his arm in an attack by the Zera people. He vows to seek revenge as the pilot of the giant super robot "Gaiking."
