Ticket to Ride: Europe is a strategic train adventure set in 19th century Europe.

Welcome to a journey through railway construction in fin-de-siècle Europe
From the steep hills of Edinburgh to the sunny docks of Constantinople, from the dusty alleys of Pamplona to the windy train stations of Berlin.
Ticket to Ride: Europe is set in late 19th century Europe and takes you on a train journey between the continent's most famous cities.
This board game is the second installment in the "Ticket to Ride" series, released in 2005, and is a strategy game that has won an International Gamers Award.
It is designed for multiplayer play for 2-5 people and can be enjoyed by anyone aged 8 and over, regardless of gender.
Each game lasts approximately 30-60 minutes, making it easy to start playing while still allowing you to enjoy deep strategic gameplay.

Objectives and basic rules of the game

The player's goal is to collect train cards of the same color and build rail routes between European cities.
The longer the route, the more points you can earn, and you can also earn additional points by completing destination tickets between specific cities.
To start the game, each player receives 45 train pieces and 3 station pieces of their color.
You will then receive an initial hand of four train cards and a destination ticket.
Players take turns choosing and performing one of the following actions:

  • Draw two train cards
  • Build a route
  • Build a station
  • Draw a destination ticket

Exclusive features of Ticket to Ride: Europe

While based on the original, this version is set in Europe and includes new elements.

tunnel:

The jagged lines are tunnels, which carry the risk of requiring additional cards to build.
Reveal three cards from your deck, and if you find any of the same color or locomotive cards, you must pay an additional card for each card.

ferry:

Ferry routes across the ocean require a certain number of locomotive cards (wild cards), which adds an extra layer of strategy to the game.

station:

By building a station in your city, you can use one of the lines built by other players as your own.
This will increase the chances of achieving destination tickets that you may have given up on due to important trunk routes being blocked.
Each unused station is worth 4 points at the end of the game.

Rich game content

The game includes the following:

  • European map board (1 piece)
  • Train pieces (225 pieces: 45 pieces of each color x 5 colors)
  • Train cards (110 cards: 12 of each color, 14 locomotive cards)
  • Destination ticket cards (6 long-distance tickets, 40 short-distance tickets)
  • Station pieces (15 pieces: 3 pieces of each color x 5 colors)
  • Wooden scoring markers (5 pcs)
  • Game Rules

A fun way to develop strategic thinking

The appeal of Ticket to Ride: Europe lies in its simple rules yet deep strategic nature.
Each player must balance collecting train cards and building routes, while reading their opponents' moves and efficiently achieving their destination tickets.
Another major feature of this game is that it offers more strategic options than the original, such as risk management for tunnel construction and the timing of station utilization, meaning that no matter how many times you play, you'll always discover something new.
It's a board game that can be enjoyed by the whole family, and is sure to satisfy board game enthusiasts.
The rules are simple enough that you can learn them in about five minutes, but the game also has high replayability, allowing you to enjoy different developments each time you play.

Ticket to Ride: Europe is a masterpiece board game that combines the visual appeal of a beautiful European map board and colorful train pieces with strategically stimulating gameplay.
Even those familiar with the original version will find it enjoyable with a fresh feel, while it is well-balanced so that even first-time players can quickly get started.
The addition of new elements such as ferries, tunnels, and stations allows for more diverse strategies to be developed.
Why not build your own railway network and embark on an adventure across the European continent?
