About "Blue Flower"

"Aoi Hana" is a wonderful coming-of-age animation that aired on Fuji TV's "NOISE" slot from July to September 2009.

Produced by JCSTAFF and directed by Kasai Kenichi, this film depicts pure love and friendship between women with delicate psychological portrayal and beautiful visuals.

The music is by Takeshi Hakoda, and graceful melodies adorn the refreshing story set in Kamakura.

Characteristics of the work

Set in a girls' high school along the Enoshima Electric Railway line, this is a delicately drawn story of emotional nuances and growth.

It was selected as a recommended work by the jury in the animation category of the 2009 Japan Media Arts Festival, and was highly praised for its artistic quality.

Main characters
